24 Hours in Ibiza Town – Your Complete Food Itinerary
The cobblestoned lanes of the Old Town, in the fortified streets of Dalt Villa, near the blinking lights of the harbour offer some of the best vegetarian food in Ibiza.
Cosmopolitan Oasis
Ibiza town is the cosmopolitan capital of the White Isle. Reigned over by the immensely stunning Castell d’Eivissa – naturally, its streets are filled with beautiful restaurants, charming cafes, vibey bars and some iconic clubs.
Its international aura brings together sun worshippers, hard partiers, and food & wine lovers from the world over.
Of course, due to Ibiza’s heavy tourist foot traffic, there are many tourist trap restaurants. We accidentally stumbled into a few whilst creating this list. But we’ve taken the hit so you don’t have to and brought together only the absolute best spots to eat. Where your money will be well spent and you can make the most of 24 hours in this Spanish paradise.

IBIZA BREAKFAST
It doesn’t matter where in the world you are, getting the first meal of your trip right is essential. Pantastic Ibiza in Old Town is a 100% sourdough artisanal bakery that will set you up perfectly for the day ahead.
Their baked sweet goods, like vegan banana bread and cinnamon buns, are delicious and flavourful. Unlike the overly saccharine tastes of most baked treats you can taste the goodness and quality here. They serve breakfast/ brunch toasts (mostly or all vegetarian/ vegan) which feature their delicious sourdough topped with healthy but tasty ingredients. Their coffee is also some of the best around. A star of Old Town.
LUNCH
If you are accustomed to breaking your day up with a feast, then Nude Café offers a varied lunch menu with sides and nibbles to accompany their main dishes if you’re extra hungry. The food is fresh here and the vegetarian options are aplenty.
They offer tostadas, bagels, wraps, and salads. A perfect crowd pleaser option – they have dishes for vegetarians, vegans, and carnivores. Furthermore their fresh juices, and excellent strong coffee enjoyed under the sun in their shaded terrace, will expel any hangover amassed from those all-night raves.
ICE-CREAM STOP
Essential eating in Ibiza – ice-cream. It gets real hot here. Hot enough to justify squeezing in a few scoops of Vivi’s Creamery intermittently throughout your day. Vivi’s is a popular ice-cream shop with plenty of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy your scoop.
Their flavours can often change with each visit, but you will always find something delicious to suit your tastes. They serve sweeter scoops such as their luxurious salted caramel. You’ll find the ice-cream itself hidden under a layer of rich white chocolate which swirls around in your scoop before it hits the cone giving you a taste of both flavours with each lick. But, also, they offer subtler flavours such as the refreshing lime and basil. Not to mention an exceptional number of vegan options are available too. Definitely worth a stop on your travels.
DINNER
When in Spain you’ll want to eat how the locals do. While that can be tricky in Ibiza with the level of restaurants catering to tourists passing tastes – El Zaguán, however, is a true taste of authentic Spanish food.
On the counters of the bar, you’ll find buffet style cold pintxos to choose from. Plus, there is a main menu to select specific hot dishes from (if you’ve managed some self-restraint and not overdone it on the self-serve pintxos). But most incredibly the friendly staff also go from table to table offering hot, fresh pintxos. All of which are cooked by the chef and served immediately. At the end they count the number of sticks on your plate and add those to the bill. It’s a buzzy restaurant you could spend endless hours eating in.
*WARNING* Nothing is outrightly labelled vegetarian. It is worth checking with staff to be sure.
DINNER OPTION DOS
If you struggle with the endless exertion of checking which food is veggie and which isn’t for a full meal of small plates – then we recommend Simbiosis for a fully vegetarian, worry-free meal. They serve the freshest, vegetable-based dishes on the whole island. Plus, you can taste the care and attention that has gone into each course. They’ve worked hard to create dishes that aren’t boring and are different to what you might expect at any regular vegan/ vegetarian spot.
The menu can change but we recommend their kofta balls with their beautifully light sauce when available and the summer rolls to start. Like most restaurants they have a big terrace to eat, and people watch from as you wash down their delicious food with a cold and fruity sangria.
NIGHT CAP
Giant colourful bean bags on an outdoor staircase overlooking the Old Town and the Port d’Eivissa are the last thing you expect to find when rounding a busy corner of Plaça del Sol. S’Ecalinata is a vibe-filled, towering cocktail bar to enjoy a comfy drink with a beautiful view in the buzziest area of Dalt Villa.
It is a cocktail bar but, of course, being Ibiza, they offer tapas, sandwiches, and snacks to enjoy while you sip your chosen beverage. We recommend one of their hefty sandwiches if you’re more than peckish. Additionally, their homemade lemonade is a zingy, bitter thirst quencher which is a saviour in those blisteringly hot Ibiza days. The perfect summer chill spot.
